The University of Regina's men's hockey team opened up its 2008-09 non-conference schedule with a 4-1 loss to the Manitoba Bisons on Friday night at the CIS Classic in Waywayseecappo, Man.

Dan Bohemier, a transfer from Concordia University College of Alberta, scored the lone goal for the Cougars.

Brant Hilton went the distance between the pipes for Regina, turning aside 30 saves in the loss.
The Cougars will play Saskatchewan on Saturday night in Waywayseecappo before returning home.
