Five Regina Rams have been invited to the 2026 CFL Combines in March.
Carson Sombach and
Ethan Graham have been invited to the National Combine, while
Anthony Montas Leipert,
Colin McKellar, and
Riley Schick will attend the Invitational Combine.
The Invitational Combine is the initial stage in the draft process and features Canadian players from various levels of university football. This year's event will be held in Waterloo on March 6. Those who perform well can earn invites to the National Combine, the premier event which will be held in Edmonton on March 27.
Carson Sombach, a Regina native, was a 2
nd team All-Canadian and a Canada West All-Star safety in 2025, a season in which he had 41 total tackles, eight bass breakups, and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a 109-yard touchdown.
Linebacker
Colin McKellar hails from Vancouver, B.C. and joined the Rams in 2023 after one season with Simon Fraser University. In 2025 he played in all 10 games, finishing with 29 total tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and two pass breakups.
Ethan Graham has been the Rams starting left tackle for the past two season and helped the Rams to a conference leading 15 rushing touchdowns in 2025. He was named a Canada West All-Star and recently participated in the College Gridiron Showcase.
Riley Schick joined the Rams from the Regina Thunder in 2024 and immediately became the teams starting centre, playing in 20 total games over two seasons. In 2025, he led an offensive line group that allowed only two sacks in 10 games. He was also named a Canada West All-Star and was invited to the Dream Bowl.
Anthony Montas Leipert has been in the defensive line rotation since the 2023 season and had a career-best year in 2025, wracking up 32 total tackles, including three tackles for loss, two sacks and also had a pass breakup.
The CFL draft will take place on April 28.
