• 1990 Great Plains Athletic Conference Coach of the Year
Debbie Nash (Patterson) coached the Cougars for four seasons beginning with the 1989-90 campaign.
Her first two teams were among the most competitive in school history as the Cougars won Great Plains Athletic Conference championships in both 1990 and 1991. Led by All-Canadian Jackie Moore, the Cougars placed fourth at the 1990 CIAU Championship in Toronto and finished as the national runner-up after advancing to the title game at the 1991 CIAU Championship in Quebec City.
All four of Nash's teams boasted All-Canadians, including Moore in her first two years and Deanne Shmyr during the 1991-92 and 1992-93 seasons. Moore, Shmyr, Vivian Kingdon, and Karen Harvey all earned GPAC all-star status during Nash's tenure with the Cougars.
