The University of Regina's men's hockey team lost a pair of 6-2 games to Manitoba over the weekend in non-conference action at the Max Bell Arena in Winnipeg.

Sanfred King's goal early in the second period just 16 seconds after a Manitoba power play goal brought the Cougars to within one, but Manitoba scored three more times before the second intermission to take a commanding 5-1 lead into the final frame.
Mark Schneider (pictured) added a power play goal for the Cougars in the late stages of the game.
Mitch Kilgore got the start between the pipes for Regina, while
Lucas Gore came in midway through the second period and made 16 saves in relief.

Tyler Henry and
Tyler Murray both scored for the Cougars as they lost 6-2 to Manitoba for the second consecutive day.
Brock Appleyard and
Troy Hunter assisted on Henry's goal, while
Jordan Reeve recorded a helper on Murray's power play marker in the third.
Brett Chartier had a two-goal effort for the Bisons, while Joe Caligiuri made 15 saves to secure the win.
Lucas Gore and
Andrew Hayes split the netminding duties for the Cougars, who will now prepare for their Canada West openers next weekend at home against UBC.
