Forward Summer Greiner commits to the Cougars for the 2026-27 season

University of Regina Women's Hockey Coach Brandy West-McMaster announced Wednesday that forward Summer Greiner has committed to the program for the 2026-27 season.

Greiner is from Stettler, AB and played four season of junior hockey with the Red Deer Chiefs program. She is currently playing for the Edmonton Jr. Oilers U18AAA program.

"We're thrilled to welcome Summer Greiner to the Cougars," said West-McMaster.  "She's a dynamic forward with a natural scoring touch, elite playmaking ability, and physical presence that makes an impact every shift."

"Her speed and competitiveness will be a huge asset to our lineup."

Greiner played 106 regular season games and 20 playoff games with the Chiefs over four seasons, finishing with 86 regular season points and 23 playoff points.  

In 2024-25, she had 15 points in 29 regular season games and added 4 more points in 5 playoff games.

Through 4 games with the Jr. Oilers this season, she has scored a goal and has 5 assists.

Greiner will be enrolling in the Faculty of Education.
