University of Regina men's hockey coach
Trevor Keeper announced Monday that Parker Jasper has committed to the program for 2025-26. Jasper had 5 assists in 17 games for Augsburg University in 2024-25.
"I'm incredibly excited and honored to be joining the University of Regina and the Cougars hockey program," said Jasper. "This opportunity means a lot to me, and I can't wait to get started."
Before playing DIII hockey with Augsburg, Jasper – who is originally from Regina – played for the Steinbach Pistons of the MJHL, putting up 26 points in 44 regular season games in 2023-24. He added 3 goals and 4 assists in the playoffs.
"We're extremely excited about adding Parker to our program," said Keeper. "Parker is a team first character player that will fit perfectly within the program culture. He is going to be a great puck moving addition to our defense corps. He's a great skater and puck handler with above average ice vision. We're looking forward to having Parker play a key role in our transition play."
During the 2022-23 season, Jasper helped the Pistons become Manitoba Junior Hockey League champions. Jasper also spent time with the El Paso Rhinos and the Yorkton Terriers during his junior career.
He will enroll in the Faculty of Business Administration in the fall.
