Smith College

John Smith was named as an assistant coach with the University of Regina’s women’s hockey program in June of 2008. Smith works with the team’s forwards and with the power play units.

Prior to joining the U of R’s staff, Smith spent four seasons as a coach with the Regina Pat Canadians, serving as an assistant coach for the 2002-03 season and as head coach from 2003 to 2006. He also has experience at the national and international levels, guiding Team Saskatchewan at the 2003 Canada Winter Games in New Brunswick and helping out as an assistant coach for Team West at the 2002 World Under-17 Challenge in Selkirk, Man.
