About the Team
The University of Regina Women’s Rugby team competes in both 15s and 7s formats, offering a comprehensive rugby experience across the academic year. The team plays 15s during the fall semester as part of the Prairie University Women’s Rugby Conference, followed by a transition to 7s in the winter semester, where they compete in tournament play.
Practices are held Sunday evenings on campus, with additional opportunities for development throughout the season. Tryouts are ongoing, and all current University of Regina student-athletes are encouraged to attend and experience the program. The team emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and competitive growth, while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. Student-athletes are also expected to participate in fundraising initiatives that contribute to the sustainability and success of the program.
Women’s Rugby provides a well-rounded and competitive opportunity for students of all experience levels.
