About the Team
The University of Regina Flag Football program is comprised of two squads, the Green Team and the Gold Team. The Green Team serves as the program’s top competitive squad, while the Gold Team provides development opportunities for emerging athletes within a supportive and competitive environment.
Tryouts are held in mid to late October, with practices taking place weekly on Thursday evenings. Both teams compete in the AFFL league beginning in January, with games often scheduled on Sunday nights. The program’s competitive calendar concludes with the Canadian Collegiate Flag Football Championship in May, with opportunities to attend additional tournaments throughout the season.
Students are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to team development both on and off the field, including participation in fundraising initiatives. The program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and competitive excellence at the collegiate level.
