Sarah Hodges was the first head coach in University of Regina women's hockey history, guiding the team from its inception in 1998 until the 2023-24 season.
Hodges finished her coaching career at the U of R as Canada West's all-time leader with 588 regular season games coached in her career. She guided the Cougars to their first conference championship in 2001, made three appearances in the national tournament, and qualified for the postseason in 21 of her 25 seasons as head coach. Hodges was named Canada West's Coach of the Year following the 2015-16 season.
Prior to her coaching career, Hodges played from 1992-96 with Dartmouth College (NCAA Div. I) and compiled 75 goals and 71 assists during her four seasons with the Big Green. During her last season in 1995-96, Hodges served as the team’s captain and was named to the All-Ivy First Team. She was also a member of Dartmouth's track & field team, specializing in the javelin.
