Bob Maltman was hired as the University of Regina's women's soccer head coach in May of 2007. Prior to taking the reins of the Cougars program, Maltman acquired extensive coaching experience at the local and provincial level. He has been involved with the Saskatchewan Soccer Association's provincial programs since 2005 and has coached several teams in the AC Football Club. He served as the ACFC's technical director from 2001 to 2004 after coaching provincial all-star teams in the mid-1990s. He also spent time working with the National Training Centre program in Regina in 2002 and 2003. Maltman served as an assistant coach with the U of R during the Cougars' inaugural season in 2001.
