Cougars outshoot Lethbridge 38-21, but shut out by Pronghorns

The University of Regina's men's hockey team fired 38 shots at Lethbridge goaltender Scott Bowles on Friday night, but it was the No. 9-ranked Pronghorns that came away with two points after shutting out the Cougars by a 3-0 score in Lethbridge.

Bowles turned aside all 38 shots to record his second shutout of the season. Tyler Feakes scored twice for the Pronghorns, while Steve Zmudczynski notched the other.

Brant Hilton made 18 saves in the loss for Regina. Kyle Ross was credited with 12 of the Cougars' 38 shots during the game.

The fifth-place Cougars fall to 6-9-2 on the season. With 14 points, they are one point ahead of Calgary and two points ahead of UBC.

Regina and Lethbridge (11-6-0) will face off again on Saturday night in Lethbridge.
