Box Score Game Summary

Scott Bowles had a 28-save shutout as the University of Lethbridge shut out the Regina Cougars by a 4-0 score on Saturday night in a Canada West men's hockey game in Lethbridge.

Kris Snopek scored twice for Lethbridge while Nick Hotson and Dustin Moore scored the others as the Pronghorns improve to 3-4-3 on the season.

Snopek started the scoring for the Pronghorns on the power play six minutes in, walking off the half wall and beating Regina goalie Adam Ward short side to tally the game's lone goal of the first period.

The Pronghorns scored twice in the second half of the second period. Hotson scored his third of the season following a give-and-go with Mason Conway, and Moore extended the home side's lead to three with an easy tap-in after taking a cross-ice pass from Tyler Melancon.

Snopek capped the scoring six minutes into the third after a centering pass from Andrew Courtney went off the third-year forward and into the net.

The Pronghorns were 1-for-3 on the power play, while the Cougars were 0-for-5.

The Cougars (5-9-0) will finish off the first half of their Canada West schedule next weekend against Calgary (6-4-2) on Friday and Saturday at The Co-Operators Centre.
