Bisons complete weekend sweep with 6-1 win over Cougars

The University of Regina's men's hockey team fell to 4-6-0 on the season after losing 6-1 to the Manitoba Bisons on Saturday night in Winnipeg.

Blair Macaulay, Greg Beller, Nolan Waker, Kyle Howarth, Travis Mealy, and Wes Pawluk all scored for the Bisons, who peppered Regina goalie #A.J. Whiffen# with 51 shots during the contest.

Beller added three assists for a four-point night, while Steve Christie made 21 saves to secure the win for Manitoba.

Craig Cuthbert's second goal of the season midway through the second period was Regina's lone tally of the evening. Whiffen made 45 saves in the loss.

The Cougars will return to action next weekend at home against Alberta (7-1-0). Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday at The Co-Operators Centre.
