Huskies win 5-3 over Cougars in Saskatoon

Box Score Game Summary

The University of Regina's women's hockey team suffered a 5-3 loss to the Saskatchewan Huskies on Saturday afternoon in a Canada West game in Saskatoon.

Breanne George and Danny Stone both scored twice for the Huskies, while Kesley Tulloch notched their other goal.

Kendra Finch, Paige Wheeler, and Kelcie McCutcheon replied for the Cougars. Nicole Hollingshead assisted on both of Regina's power play goals.

The Cougars were 2-for-9 on the power play, while Saskatchewan was 3-for-13.

Vanessa Frederick made 16 saves in the win for the Huskies. Second-year goalie Naticia Leskun made her first career start and had 20 saves for the Cougars.

The two teams will finish off the Canada West regular season schedule on Sunday night at 7 p.m. at the Sherwood Ice Sports Centre in Regina.
