Box Score Game Summary

The University of Manitoba scored three times on the power play and recorded a 4-1 win over the Regina Cougars on Friday night in a Canada West men's hockey game at the Max Bell Arena in Winnipeg.

Travis Mealy, Brandon Lockerby, and Kyle Howarth all scored with the man advantage for the Bisons, who were 3-for-5 on the power play during the game. Tyler Dittmer added an even strength goal for Manitoba, while Jared Jagow popped his fourth goal of the season for the Cougars.

Jared Walker had two helpers for the Bisons, who improve to 15-10-2 and clinch a Canada West postseason berth with the win.

Steve Christie stopped 17 shots to secure the win for Manitoba, while Adam Ward made 30 saves for the Cougars but was tagged with the loss.

The Cougars, who were 0-for-5 on the power play, fall to 9-16-2 with the loss.

The two teams will meet again on Saturday night at the Max Bell Arena.
