The Calgary Dinos completed the weekend sweep of the Regina Cougars with a 3-2 win on Saturday night in a Canada West women's hockey game in Calgary.

Sinead Tracy opened the scoring for the Dinos on the power play at 14:26 of the first period, but Paige Wheeler replied just over three minutes later for the Cougars as the two teams went into the first intermission tied at one.

Rianne Wight scored a power play goal of her own for the Cougars just shy of the 12-minute mark of the second to give the visitors a 2-1 lead. Stefanie Banilevic and Gina Campbell drew assists on Wight's goal, her first of the season.

The lead lasted until the waning moments of the second period, when Calgary struck again on the power play as Iya Gavrilova fired her seventh goal of the season. Calgary's Elana Lovell – who had a four-goal, six-point night in the Dinos' 8-1 win on Friday – scored what would turn out to be the game-winning goal three minutes into the third.

Jennifer Mallard made the start for Calgary and made nine saves over two periods of play. Amanda Tapp came in for the third and stopped all three shots she faced to secure the win for the Dinos, who outshot Regina by a 40-14 margin.

Jennifer Schmidt stopped 37 of Calgary's 40 shots between the pipes for Regina.

Calgary ended up 2-for-11 on the power play, while the Cougars converted one of their two opportunities with the man advantage.

The Cougars (3-5-0) return home next weekend for a pair of games against Lethbridge (7-3-0).
