Almost a full month after the team's last games at The Co-operators Centre, the University of Regina Cougars finally return home this weekend to face the Lethbridge Pronghorns in Canada West women's hockey action.

The Cougars followed up their last home games against Manitoba in October with a road sweep over UBC, defeating the Thunderbirds 4-3 in a shootout and 3-0 the next night. After a weekend off, the U of R returned to the ice last weekend but suffered a pair of losses to Canada West-leading Calgary.

Gina Campbell, Paige Wheeler, and Rianne Wight are all tied for the team lead with four points this season. Fifth-year veteran Lisa Urban and rookie Jennifer Schmidt have largely shared the workload between the pipes for the Cougars, with Urban starting five contests and Schmidt getting the nod in three.

Lethbridge was tabbed to finish sixth in the conference in the Canada West preseason poll, but the No. 9-ranked Pronghorns have started the season with wins in seven of their first 10 games and are tied with the Dinos for first place with 14 points.

Shelby Ballendine and Jenna-Marie Durnin both lead the Pronghorns with seven points, while goaltender Crystal Patterson has played every minute in net for Lethbridge and has a miniscule 1.46 goals-against average to go along with a .946 save percentage.

The Cougars will be back in action next weekend with a pair of road games at Alberta. They'll play their final home game of the first half of the schedule on Dec. 1 against Saskatchewan at the Brandt Centre.

NOTES: Entering the weekend, the Cougars and Lethbridge have met in 41 Canada West games with Regina holding a 28-12-1 advantage in the all-time series.
