The University of Regina's men's hockey team gave up two goals in the second period and two late in the third as the Cougars lost 4-0 to the UBC Thunderbirds on Saturday night in Vancouver.
Ryan Kakoske and Matt Wray both scored power play goals for UBC in the second. The score stayed 2-0 until late in the contest, as the Thunderbirds scored twice in the game's final two minutes to pad their victory margin.
Jordan White made 15 saves for UBC as the third-year goalie registered his third career shutout.

Lucas Gore made 29 saves in the loss as the Cougars fall to 4-14-2 on the season.
UBC was 2-for-10 on the power play and held a 33-15 shot advantage, while the Cougars were scoreless on their two power play opportunities.
The Cougars will have a weekend off before travelling for a pair of games against the University of Calgary on Jan. 27 and Jan. 28.
