The University of Regina's women's hockey team couldn't get the offence going on Saturday, losing 2-0 to Saskatchewan in Canada West action in Saskatoon.

Sarah Greschner and Carlee Hrenkiw both scored for Saskatchewan, while goalie Cassidy Hendricks stopped all 34 shots she faced to backstop the Huskies to the win. Greschner's goal came on a goalmouth scramble, while Hrenkiw's went high glove side on a breakway to give the Huskies a two-goal lead late in the second.

Jennifer Schmidt got the start for the Cougars and made 20 saves in the loss.

The loss snaps the Cougars' four-game winning streak and lowers their record to Canada West record to 6-4-0 on the season. The U of R is in fourth place in the conference standings with 12 points, and the Cougars will have a weekend off before squaring off with No 4-ranked Alberta (8-2-0) on Nov. 16 and Nov. 17 in Edmonton.
