Kylee Kupper drew the assist on the goal.
The teams then traded goals, with both squads scoring in the span of 73 seconds later in the second period. Berzins scored a shorthanded goal at 14:43, but the Cougars responded shortly thereafter after an

The third period saw Calgary outshoot Regina by a 9-5 margin, but neither team was able to light the lamp.
The Cougars (2-0-0) will take their undefeated record back on the road next Friday and Saturday for a pair of games at Lethbridge, which opened its season this weekend with a win and a shootout loss against UBC.
