The University of Regina women's soccer team defeated the hometown Lethbridge Pronghorns 1-0 in Canada West action on Sunday afternoon.
One day after the two teams battled to a scoreless draw, the Cougars clawed their way to a one-goal advantage while managing to keep the Pronghorns off the scoresheet again.

Sarah Moroziuk was the one who broke the stalemate, netting an unassisted goal in the 77th minute that ended up being the game winner.

Kacey McFee posted her second consecutive shutout, making three saves including a key stop in the 89th minute to preserve the win.
Regina applied plenty of offensive pressure in the early going, but couldn't crack Lethbridge keeper Micaela Stone, who stopped four shots in her second start for Lethbridge.
The Cougars had a pair of strong chances in the first half. In the fourth minute
Brianna Wright had a shot from in the box that beat Stone, but was deflected wide by a Lethbridge defender. Less than a minute later
Kayla McDonald sent a header from a corner kick towards the goal, but it rung off the crossbar.

Racquel Marshall and Moroziuk were the only Cougar outfielders to play the full 90 minutes.
Regina moves to 3-2-1 with the win, and will prepare to play host to the undefeated University of Calgary Dinos (4-0-2) next weekend for a pair of games.
