The University of Regina women's hockey team continued their undefeated pre-season with a 3-2 win over the Lethbridge Pronghorns in the Mandi Schwartz Challenge on Sunday.
Kylee Kupper, Jaycee Magwood and Nikki Watters-Matthes scored in the win at The Co-operators Centre, as the Cougars move to 7-0 on the pre-season. Morgan Baker earned the win in net.
The Cougars downed provincial-rival Saskatchewan Huskies on Saturday, as Kylie Gavelin, Bailey Braden, Magwood and Watters-Matthes found the net. Jane Kish was the winning goalie for Regina.
Regina opened the Mandi Schwartz Challenge with a 2-0 win on Friday evening, defeating Team Saskatchewan's Under-18 squad 2-0. Rookie Sam Geekie scored and Emma Waldenberger added an insurance goal as Kish posted the shutout.
Manitoba also posted an undefeated weekend, while Saskatchewan finished 1-2, Team Sask went 1-0 and Lethbridge was 0-3.
Regina's last pre-season action will be on Friday night with an exhibition game against a team made up of Cougar Alumni. Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m at The Co-operators Centre.
