TEAM OVERVIEWS
REGINA – The Cougars dropped out of the No. 1 spot in this week's U SPORTS Top 10 after being upset 81-79 on Saturday by UNBC in Prince George. That loss also ended a 14-game winning streak for the U of R after the Cougars went 9-1 in non-conference play and had started out the Canada West schedule with five consecutive wins. The Cougars are back to full strength after Carolina Goncalves returned to the team last weekend after playing two games for Portugal's senior national team in qualifications for FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019. Goncalves came off the bench against UNBC, but is likely to draw back into the starting lineup this weekend against the Pronghorns.

LETHBRIDGE – Off to an 8-0 start for the first time in program history, the Pronghorns are in uncharted waters and enter the weekend as one of only two remaining undefeated teams in the conference. Lethbridge employs a score-by-committee approach with eight players averaging at least eight points per game, but the Cougars will have to watch out for the backcourt tandem of Kacie Bosch and Danielle Fritzke. Together, they've combined for 32 three-pointers and are shooting 48.5% from three-point range. Fritzke alone has a Canada West-leading 22 triples this season and ranks fifth in the conference in three-point percentage (.500).

ALL-TIME SERIES
Simply put, it's been all Cougars in this matchup. Regina is 26-5 against Lethbridge in the regular season and the Cougars are also 4-1 against the Pronghorns in the postseason. Regina has won 20 consecutive games over Lethbridge including a pair of playoff wins in 2010, with Lethbridge's last win in this series coming back in December of 2005. The Cougars are 17-2 against Lethbridge in Regina.

CHARLOTTE NEARS 1000
Fifth-year post Charlotte Kot enters this weekend with 927 career points in her U SPORTS career, now needing only 73 more to become the 12th player in school history to score 1000. The others, in order – Cymone Bouchard (1439), Jackie Moore (1368), Jana Schweitzer (1280), Corrin Wersta (1265), Trena Mott (1229), Bree Burgess (1165), Katie Polischuk (1133), Annette Pfeifer (1119), Lindsay Ledingham (1078), Deanne Shmyr (1055), and Chelsea Cassano (1055).

2 FROM THREE
Third-year guard Michaela Kleisinger has stepped up her outside game this year, hitting 10 of her 19 attempts from three-point range in the team's first six games of the Canada West schedule. That gives her a .526 three-point percentage for the season, which ranks fourth in the conference. Incidentally, the single-season record for three-point percentage in a season is held by Cougar legend Cymone Bouchard – she shot 48.3% from beyond the arc during the 2003-04 campaign.
