Box Score 2 The University of Regina women's hockey team swept both of their games at the Mandi Schwartz Challenge on Saturday, beating Cougar Alumni and SAIT at The Co-operators Centre.
Cougars 3, Team Sask. 4 (SO)
Nikki Watters-Matthes (pictured) scored two powerplay goals in the first period to give the Cougars an early lead, but Sask replied early in the second. The Cougars restored their two-goal lead thanks to
Lilla Carpenter-Boesch but two powerplay goals in the third evened the score again. Overtime passed with no score and Team Sask scored twice out of five shooters to edge the Cougars 2-1 in the shootout.

Rookie
Jordan Kulbida stole the show in this one, netting three goals as the current Cougars edged the former Cougars on Saturday afternoon.

Kulbida led the charge again for the Cougars, scoring three more goals for her second hat trick of the day. Rookies
Jenna Grube (2) and
Ireland South also lit the lamp, while
Bailey Braden,
Kylee Kupper and
Chelsea Hallson added goals of their own.
Jane Kish and
Morgan Baker combined to earn the shutout.
Cougars 4, Manitoba 3 (OT)
The Cougars gave up three goals in the first period but slowly clawed back with a goal from Kulbida in the second and
Jaycee Magwood and
Merissa Zerr in the third. South tipped in a Watters-Matthes shot in overtime to complete the comeback and give the Cougars the 4-3 win.
