Jaycee Magwood scored twice, including the overtime winner, as the Regina Cougars continued their final preseason weekend with a 4-3 overtime win over the Brock Badgers at the Great Lakes Challenge in Kincardine, Ont. 

Magwood opened the scoring in the first period, beating Brock netminder Jensen Murphy with a shot from the high slot. 

The Badgers tied the game in the middle period, when Marissa Ryalls' point shot eluded Cougar goalie Morgan Baker. 

A Brock bodychecking major put the Cougars on an extended powerplay, with Ireland South poking a loose puck past Murphy to make it 2-1. 

Kaitlyn Crowe scored her first U SPORTS goal late in the second, as her point shot found the back of the net - giving the Cougars a 3-1 lead heading into the final period. 

Brock rallied in the third, scoring twice in 1:35 to tie the game at 3-3. First, Amanda Leradi tucked the puck shortside on Baker.  Moments later, Cassidy Maplethorpe scored on a rebound at the corner of the crease. 

In overtime, Emma Waldenberger had an opportunity to end the game on a breakaway, but could not beat Murphy. 

The Cougars did get the game winner shortly thereafter, as Jaycee Magwood broke in on the left wing, slipping the puck between the defender's feet before scoring on the backhand. 

Playing in front of family and friends, Kincardine product Morgan Baker made 28 saves to earn the win. 

Regina outshot Brock 42-31.

The Cougars conclude the Great Lakes Challenge with a Sunday afternoon matchup against the Lethbridge Pronghorns.
