QUICKLY
• Regina's bid to start the season with three consecutive wins fell short last weekend against UBC at Mosaic Stadium. The Rams led for the majority of the game, but UBC scored a touchdown early in the fourth quarter and held on for a 14-12 win.

• Like the Rams, Alberta is also coming off a close loss. The Golden Bears almost overcame a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit at Manitoba after a field goal followed by a touchdown with under a minute to go, but their two-point conversion failed and the Bisons escaped with a 24-23 victory.

• Despite last week's loss, the Rams sit in sole possession of second in the Canada West standings. Manitoba leads the way at 3-0, leaving Alberta, UBC, Calgary, and Saskatchewan all embroiled in a four-way tie at 1-2.

POLIUS CONTINUES PRODUCTION: DL Tarick Polius had another sack last week against UBC, taking down Garrett Rooker for a nine-yard loss late in the contest. Polius is not only tied for fourth on the Rams with 10 tackles, but ranks second in Canada West in both tackles for loss (3.5) and sacks (2.5). Polius has been at his best in the critical moments, with all of his sacks this season coming in the fourth quarter.

ON TARGET: QB Noah Pelletier has completed 59 of his 83 pass attempts this season and has thrown for 665 yards and 3 touchdowns with no interceptions. He leads Canada West and ranks fifth in U SPORTS with a 71.1% completion percentage, and only one quarterback in the nation (Laval's Arnaud Desjardins) has completed more passes without throwing a single pick.

RB COMMITTEE: The Rams again utilized RB Jevon Garwood, RB Olivier Savard, and RB Marshall Erichsen last week against UBC. Garwood led the way with 10 rushes for a career-high 65 yards, while Savard rushed 4 times for 39 yards and Erichsen had 5 carries for 27 yards. RB Christian Katende also had three rushes, all of which were on short-yardage situations as he took the snap with the Rams in wildcat formation.

PICK REPORT: DB Max Polischuk picked off a UBC pass in the end zone last Saturday, giving him two interceptions for the season. Polischuk is one of just three Canada West players with multiple interceptions this year and as a team, the Rams rank second in the conference with five picks. Garret Hatchard, Michael Jourdan, and Cameron Mah all have one.

DEFENCE ROLLING: It was another strong game for the Regina defence last time out, surrendering only 14 points to UBC. The Rams have conceded the fewest yards of any Canada West team, averaging 329.7 yards against per game. The run defence has been especially impressive, with Regina leading Canada West and ranking second in the nation (behind only Bishop's) with an average of 85 rushing yards allowed per game.

FIRST COMPLETION FOR JONES: QB Trey Jones had his first U SPORTS completion last week against UBC, hitting RB Christian Katende for a five-yard screen pass on a trick play which had Pelletier also on the field and drifting behind Jones for a possible pitch. It was the first completion by a left-handed quarterback for the Rams in well over a decade, as Jones is the first lefty the Rams have had under centre since Zach Oleynik backed up Marc Mueller in 2012.

NEW LOOK RAMS: The Rams unveiled their new Under Armour uniforms earlier this season and debuted the new look in Week 2 and Week 3 with their green jerseys and green pants. With new green and white UA jerseys and green and white UA pants available, the Rams will almost certainly see a new combination on Friday at Foote Field.

TEAM CAPTAINS: The Rams have seven captains this season including LB Cameron Mah, LB Chopper Hippe, QB Noah Pelletier, DB Jackson Sombach, RB Christian Katende, OL Connor Klassen, OL Parker Hodel, and SB Rylan Sokul.

DRAFT REPORT: The Rams had two players selected in the 2024 CFL Draft. SB D'Sean Mimbs went in the sixth round to the Saskatchewan Roughriders with the 50th overall selection, while DB Jackson Sombach was taken in the seventh round (60th overall) by the Calgary Stampeders. Both players are back with the Rams this season. LB Chopper Hippe, OL Connor Klassen, and DB Dolani Robinson all participated in the U SPORTS East-West Bowl earlier this year. This year's East-West Bowl was a showcase which featured (for the most part) players available for selection in the 2025 CFL Draft.

RAMS TERRITORY: This year's roster features a total of 98 players, 66 of whom call Saskatchewan home. The Rams also have 15 Albertans, 9 from British Columbia, 4 from Ontario, 1 from Manitoba (DL Praise Odogun), 1 from Quebec (RB Olivier Savard), 1 from Arizona (DB Cedric McCallum), and 1 from Washington (DL Maliq Washington).
