Addison Richards 2021

Addison Richards

  • Title
    Receivers Coach
Addison Richards joined the Rams coaching staff as receivers coach prior to the 2021 season.

One of the most prolific receivers ever to suit up for the Rams, his final season at the U of R was one of the finest in school history. The preferred target of pivots Noah Picton and Cayman Shutter in 2014, Richards set a University of Regina record (since broken) with 55 receptions and piled up 916 receiving yards, which led the nation and still ranks second in the school single-season record book. Despite only spending two seasons as a starter, Richards finished with impressive career totals of 108 catches, 1663 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns with the Rams.

Richards was selected by Winnipeg in the second round of the 2015 CFL Draft and played in 17 CFL games before retiring from professional football in August of 2017.

Richards, who received a Bachelor of Science from the U of R in 2020 with a major in biochemistry, is employed as a chemist associate at Mosaic's Belle Plaine potash facility.
