John Hashem

    Offensive Line Coach
John Hashem joined the staff as an offensive line coach in January of 2019.
 
Hashem played five years with the Rams after redshirting in 2005, his first season out of Winston Knoll Collegiate. He was a backup on the offensive line in 2006, then spent the next four seasons as the team's starter at right tackle.
 
Selected by the Calgary Stampeders in the 2009 CFL Draft, Hashem attended training camps with Calgary, Winnipeg, and Montreal before spending the 2011 campaign on the Alouettes' practice roster. He retired from professional football in 2012 after a second training camp with Montreal and a stint on Saskatchewan’s practice roster.
 
Hashem began his coaching career soon after with powerhouse Dr. Martin LeBoldus High School, spending each of the last seven seasons as the Golden Suns' offensive line coach. He was co-offensive coordinator in each the last five seasons and also spent a year as special teams coordinator. Hashem was on the LeBoldus staff for all five provincial championships that the Golden Suns won between 2012 and 2016.
 
Hashem, who graduated from the U of R in 2010 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree, is employed as a data science engineer at sMedia in Regina.
