Chris Robertson joined the University of Regina's men's hockey team as an assistant coach prior to the 2025-26 season.
Robertson brings well over a decade and a half of coaching experience to the Cougars. He's in his second stint as a coach in Canada West, having also served as an assistant with the Calgary Dinos for two seasons. 
As a player, his extensive playing career included 12 seasons of professional hockey as a high-scoring forward mostly in the ECHL, CHL, and WPHL but also for one season with Esbjerg in Denmark's Superisligaen. Prior to embarking on his pro career, Robertson played one season with the Brandon Wheat Kings and piled up 85 points in 70 games as a 20-year-old.
Robertson also played for Mount Royal College for a total of four seasons over two stints with the Cougars. He graduated from Mount Royal in 1992 with a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education degree.
Originally from Calgary, Robertson lives in Regina with his wife Lisa and their two children (Sophia and Jack). He has called Saskatchewan home since 2017.
