Alger Seon has been coaching sprints and hurdles for the University of Regina's track & field teams since the program's inception in 1997. 

A mainstay in the Regina community for the past several decades, Seon previously coached with Queen City Kinsmen and Regina Athletic clubs before they amalgamated into Excel Athletika. He earned NCCP Level 3 certification in sprints & hurdles and has received numerous awards in his coaching career, including Sask Athletics' High Performance Coaching Award and the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2022 for volunteerism in sport.

Seon's athletes have received 14 U SPORTS medals over the years. His list of national champions includes Aaron Gullacher in the 60-metre hurdles (2005), Justin Baker in the 60-metre hurdles (2010), Tevaughn Campbell in the 60-metre dash (2016), Usheoritse Itsekiri in the 60-metre dash (2022 and 2023), and the 4x200-metre relay team (2023).

Seon is also the owner of Regina Truck and Trailer Repair.
