Jacob Lang joined the University of Regina's track & field teams as a pole vault coach prior to the 2024-25 season.
Lang competed in pole vault for Miller Comprehensive High School in the early 2000s and returned to the sport when his daughter joined Excel Athletika in 2018. He also serves as the pole vault coach for Excel.
He still competes in the pole vault, and in late 2025 became the provincial M35-39 record holder in the event after clearing the bar at 4.05 metres.
Born and raised in Regina, Lang has journeyman certificates from Saskatchewan Polytechnic in both welding and industrial mechanics.
