Carly Graham 2023-24

Carly Graham

  • Title
    Women's Basketball Assistant Coach
Carly Graham served as an assistant coach with the U of R's women's basketball team from 2012-13 to 2016-17 and rejoined the staff prior to the 2019-20 season.

Graham also served as a head coach during the 2013-14 season as head coach Dave Taylor was briefly sidelined due to an illness. The Cougars were a perfect 4-0 during her time as bench boss, all of which were road games as the team took two wins over Manitoba and one over both Fraser Valley and Trinity Western.

Despite only playing for two seasons in a U of R uniform, Graham retired as the school's all-time leader in career three-point percentage (.422) and ranks sixth in school history with 95 three-pointers made. Graham set a University of Regina single-season record (since broken) with 52 three-pointers during the 2010-11 conference schedule and remains one of just two players in U of R history to hit six three-pointers in a Canada West game multiple times.

Graham, who hails from White Rock, B.C., won CIS championships in both 2009 and 2010 with Simon Fraser before transferring to the U of R after the Clan reclassified to NCAA Div. II.

Graham received her Bachelor of Science from the U of R in 2013 with a joint major in chemistry and biochemistry. She completed her Ph.D in genetics at the U of R in 2018 and is currently working as a post-doctoral researcher.Â
