Wayne Morrison was added to the U of R's women's basketball staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2019-20 season.

Prior to joining the Cougars, Morrison was the longtime senior girls' basketball coach at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox. Morrison guided the Hounds to a total of five provincial 3A championships, winning in 1986, 1987, 1999, 2000, and 2005.

Morrison also has extensive experience coaching with the Team Saskatchewan program.
