Colleen Sostorics has been involved with the University of Regina's women's hockey program as an assistant coach since the 2013-14 season.
Sostorics is a three-time Olympic gold medalist, helping Team Canada to gold in 2002 (Salt Lake City), in 2006 (Turin), and in 2010 (Vancouver). Her long and distinguished international career also includes three IIHF World Women's Championship titles and five 4 Nations Cup championships. Originally from the village of Kennedy in southeastern Saskatchewan, Sostorics also played with the University of Calgary and with the strong Calgary Oval X-Treme program that competed in the old National Women's Hockey League and the Western Women's Hockey League.
Sostorics was inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
