Nathan Strueby joined the Cougars women's hockey team as an assistant coach prior to the 2021-22 season.

A former player on the U of R men's team, Strueby played with the Cougars during the 1998-99 and 2000-01 seasons. He finished his University of Regina career with 13 goals, 26 assists, and 39 points in 50 career Canada West games. Prior to his time in the CIAU, Strueby played two seasons in the WHL with Calgary and Swift Current before finishing off his junior career with the Kindersley Klippers.
