Terry O’Malley has been an assistant coach for the University of Regina's women's hockey team since 2006. He works with the team’s defencemen and the penalty kill units.

O’Malley brings a wealth of experience to head coach Sarah Howald’s coaching staff. He was one of the first Canadians to dedicate his playing career almost exclusively to the international game, representing Canada in the Winter Games in 1964, 1968, and 1980. He also competed at the IIHF World Championship under Father Bauer in 1965, 1966, and 1969.

O’Malley was a coach and administrator at the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame from 1978 to 2006, with a five-year break in the late-1980s when he coached the University of British Columbia’s men’s hockey team.

In 1998, O'Malley was inducted into the Players category of the IIHF Hall of Fame.
