Monica Deters joined the University of Regina's women's soccer team as an assistant coach prior to the 2022 season. She works primarily with the Cougars' defenders.

Deters, a goalkeeper during her playing days, is an alumna of the Cougar program. She was a teammate of head coach Astrid Baecker during the 2001 campaign, the U of R's first season as a U SPORTS program.
