Cougars record another straight-sets victory over Winnipeg

Meagan Onstad had her finest match as a Cougar on Saturday night, leading the University of Regina's women's volleyball team to a straight-sets (25-15, 25-18, 25-21) victory over the Winnipeg Wesmen on Saturday night.

Onstad recorded career highs in both kills (12) and digs (17) during the match as the No. 7-ranked Cougars improved their Canada West record to 4-2. Tammy Jule also had a big game for Regina, tallying 10 kills and 17 digs. Second-year setter Tiffany Herman had 39 assists and now boasts a Canada West-leading 227 for the season.

Ariel Smith and Marlee Bragg both had 11 digs for the Wesmen, who were held to just a .000 hitting percentage in the match.

The Cougars, who are tied for third in the conference, will have a weekend off before visiting UBC (2-2) for a pair of road matches on Nov. 14 and 15.
