A last-second bucket by Stevens Marcelin gave the University of Brandon Bobcats a 91-89 win over the Regina Cougars on Friday night in a Canada West game in Brandon.

Jamal Williams tied up the game at 89 with seven seconds remaining, but the Bobcats pushed the ball down court and Tarik Tokar was able to find Marcelin for the open layup and the win.
Dany Charlery led the Bobcats with 23 points and added eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Marcelin shot 7-for-10 from the field and ended up with 16 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Tokar had 13 points and seven assists, while Rejean Chabot had ten points and seven assists.
Williams had a game-high 25 points for the Cougars, hitting nine of his 12 field goals and all five free throws.
Kris Heshka had 22 points, six rebounds, and four assists, while
Paul Schubach had 15 points and four assists.
The win improves Brandon's record to 4-5, while the Great Plains Division-leading Cougars fall to 5-4.
The two teams will meet again on Saturday night in Brandon.
