Beth Clark had 15 kills and no errors on just 20 attacks to lead the University of Regina's women's volleyball team to a quick 3-0 win over the Saskatchewan Huskies on Saturday night at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport.

Ranked No. 9 in the CIS, the Cougars defeated the Huskies with set wins of 25-15, 25-17, and 25-11.

Clark dominated up the middle for the Cougars, ending up with a .750 hitting percentage and five digs. Tiffany Herman had 40 assists – a career high for a three-set match – and also added six digs. Tammy Jule had 12 kills and nine digs, while Kelly Cowan came up with 10 digs for Regina.

Ashley Schurko led the Huskies with a match-high 14 digs.

The win improves Regina's record to 9-7 on the season, and the Cougars now sit four matches ahead of Thompson Rivers (5-11) for seventh place in the conference with four matches remaining in the season. Any Cougar win or WolfPack loss will result in Regina officially clinching a postseason berth.

The Cougars will host the Alberta Pandas next weekend at the CKHS before finishing off their season with two matches against Thompson Rivers on Feb. 6 and 7.

Saskatchewan, which drops to 2-14 with the loss, will travel to Burnaby, B.C. for a pair of road matches against Simon Fraser next weekend.
