Beth Clark had a match-high 13 kills to lead the University of Regina's women's volleyball team to a straight-sets (25-10, 25-18, 25-18) win over the Saskatchewan Huskies on Saturday night in Saskatoon.
Clark had a .571 hitting percentage and led all players with four total blocks, helping the Cougars improve their record to 3-1 on the season following the weekend sweep over the Huskies.
Rebecca Rink led all players with 13 digs, while
Roxanne Olynyk had 12 and
Kaitlyn Hughes had ten. Third-year setter
Tiffany Herman had 30 assists for the Cougars.
Candace Hueser led Saskatchewan with ten kills and a .364 hitting percentage.
The Cougars, who are currently in sole possession of third place in the conference, will travel to Kamloops, B.C. next weekend for two matches at Thompson Rivers (0-2).
NOTES: Regina has now won 12 of its last 13 matches against Saskatchewan dating back to the 2003-04 season ... With 738 career kills, Clark needs just four more to surpass Samantha Lawrek in the U of R's rally-point era record book.
