Cougars finish off conference schedule with four-set win over WolfPack

Lisa Abrahamowicz had 17 kills and a career-high 24 digs to lead the University of Regina's women's volleyball team to a 3-1 (20-25, 25-17, 25-15, 25-22) win over the Thompson Rivers WolfPack on Saturday night in Kamloops, B.C.

Tiffany Herman also had a solid game for Regina, recording 52 assists and nine digs. Meagan Onstad also had a double-double for the Cougars, putting down 13 kills and ten digs. Solveig Nilson (12), Beth Clark (11), and Meagan Smith (10) also got into double-digits in kills. Libero Kelly Cowan had 13 digs.

Saturday marked the final regular season match of the year for the Cougars, as they finish the conference schedule with a 10-10 record.

For the second consecutive season, the will travel to Calgary for the first round of the playoffs. The Cougars and the Dinos begin the best-of-three Canada West quarterfinal series on Friday night at 7 p.m. CST.
