No. 10 Cougars topped in three by No. 7-ranked Pandas

The University of Regina's women's volleyball team's Canada West record fell to 3-6 after the Cougars suffered a three-set loss to the Alberta Pandas on Friday night in Edmonton.

The Pandas (5-4) won the first two sets by scores of 25-19 and 25-20, then ran away with a 25-12 victory in the third to clinch the match.

Krista Zubick led Alberta with a match-high nine kills. Alyssa Jones had 12 digs for the Pandas, while Jenice Warkentin was in on five of Alberta's nine blocks.

Kaitlyn Hughes had a team-high eight kills for Regina, while Meagan Onstad led all players with 13 digs. Tiffany Herman had 19 assists and 12 digs to register the match's lone double-double.

The Cougars and the Pandas will square off again in Edmonton on Saturday.
