Taylor Stefishen and Walker Wintoneak scored 61 seconds apart late in the first period for the No. 9-ranked University of Calgary's men's hockey team, breaking a 1-1 tie and sending the Dinos on their way to a 6-1 win over the Regina Cougars on Saturday night at The Co-operators Centre.

The win salvages a weekend split for Calgary, as the Cougars were 4-1 victors in Friday night's affair.

Calgary's Mark Stojan and Regina's Lucas Isley traded goals – again, 61 seconds apart – midway through the first period before the quick pair by the Dinos sent the visitors into the first intermission with a 3-1 advantage.

The game featured even more quick-strike offence in the second period, as Joel Eisenkirch and Luke Egener scored power play goals just 38 seconds apart to give the Dinos a commanding 5-1 lead. With Stojan, Eisenkirch, and Egener all finding the back of the net, Calgary blueliners were credited for three of the team's first five goals of the contest.

Dylan Hood wrapped up the scoring with a goal midway through the third.

Dustin Butler made 13 saves between the pipes for Calgary to secure the win, while Lucas Gore stopped 25 shots for the Cougars. The Dinos held a decisive 31-14 shot advantage during the contest and went 3-for-9 on the power play, while the Cougars were held scoreless on their six opportunities.

Calgary (7-5-0) is back in action next weekend at home against Saskatchewan, while the Cougars (3-6-1) will hit the road for a pair of games at Lethbridge.
