Meagan Onstad had 15 kills to lead the University of Regina's women's volleyball team to a straight-sets victory over Saskatchewan on Saturday night in a Canada West game in Saskatoon.

The Cougars burst out of the gate in the first set, winning 11 of the first 12 points to take a commanding lead. Regina ended up with a 25-15 victory in the first set, then added 25-21 and 25-22 wins in the second and third set to clinch the match.

Onstad's 15 kills came on just 24 attacks, and only three errors gave the fifth-year left side an impressive .500 hitting percentage in the victory. Tiffany Herman had 31 assists and three service aces, while Rebecca Rink led all players with nine digs.

Kayla Tycholiz led Saskatchewan with seven kills.

The Cougars (2-2) will host Thompson Rivers (1-3) next weekend at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport. First serve is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. on Friday night and at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night following the conclusion of the men's match.
