The University of Regina's women's volleyball team completed a weekend sweep over UBC Okanagan with a straight-sets win over the Heat on Saturday night in Kelowna.
It looked as though the Cougars were well on their way to a decisive win in the first set after taking a 24-16 lead, but the improbable nearly happened. UBC Okanagan reeled off nine consecutive points with Katy Klomps serving to take a 25-24 lead, but a Klomps service error followed by a Heat attack error and a
Tiffany Herman ace gave the U of R a 27-25 win.
The Cougars followed up their first set victory with a 25-22 win in the second and clinched their fourth Canada West win of the season with a 25-17 victory in the third.
Meagan Onstad led the Cougars (4-12) with 13 kills and added seven digs, while Herman had 36 assists and
