The UBC Thunderbirds took out the University of Regina in straight sets on Saturday night in Canada West women's volleyball action at the War Memorial Gym in Vancouver.
UBC led from start to finish in both of the first two sets, winning the first set by a 25-19 margin and the second by a 25-21 score. The Thunderbirds hit .375 as a team in the third set, which they won 25-17 to clinch their second win in as many nights over the Cougars.
Alissa Coulter and Shanice Marcelle both had 11 kills, with Coulter charged with just two errors on 18 attacks to end up with a match-high .500 hitting percentage. Brina Derksen-Bergen had 35 assists, while Abigail Keeping led UBC at the net with five blocks.

Desiree Ates, who collected a match-high 12 kills.
The Cougars (1-9) will have their second consecutive road trip to British Columbia next weekend, as they'll travel to Kamloops to square off with Thompson Rivers next Friday and Saturday.
