The University of Regina's women's volleyball team was defeated in four sets by the Brandon Bobcats on Saturday night at the Healthy Living Centre in Brandon.

Saturday's match started out much like Friday's. Brandon took a 25-21 win in the first set, but the Cougars replied with a 25-18 win in the second. Brandon pulled ahead with a 25-18 win in the third set, but the Cougars weren't able to push it to five sets as they did on Friday night as the Bobcats scored 10 straight points  around the technical timeout and clinched the match with a 25-13 win in the fourth.

Shanlee McLennan led Brandon with 16 kills, while Victoria Dakin chipped in with 12 and setter Kellie Baker had 38 assists. Libero Donata Huebert led all players with 13 digs.

Desiree Ates led the Cougars in kills for the second straight night, collecting 13 while hitting .219 and adding nine digs to fall one short of a double-double. Michelle Sweeting had 11 kills, while setter Leah Shevkenek dished out 36 assists.

The Cougars will return to action next Saturday and Sunday with a pair of afternoon road matches at Winnipeg. First serve for both matches will go at 1:00 local time.
