The University of Regina men's hockey team is on the road this weekend, taking on the Lethbridge Pronghorns for a pair of Canada West games.
Regina was swept last weekend by Mount Royal University, falling 9-2 and 6-3 on Friday and Saturday.
J.J. Coleshaw,
Sanfred King,
Cody Fowlie,
Miguel Pereira and
Ian McNulty scored goals for the Cougars (2-10-0).
Fowlie, Coleshaw,
Troy Hunter and
Zach McPhee are all tied for the team lead in points with five.
Mitch Kilgore started both games in net last weekend, but all three of the Cougar goalies on the roster have seen time this season.
Dawson MacAuley has made six appearances while
Andy Desautels has seen action in two games.
Lethbridge (6-5-1) enters the weekend riding a five-game winning streak. The Pronghorns swept Manitoba last weekend and UBC the weekend before that, and currently sit in fifth place in the conference.
Mitchell Maxwell leads the team in scoring, with four goals and nine assists through 12 games. Brandon Clowes is right behind with five goals and seven helpers. Dylan Tait and Damien Ketlo have split time in net for Lethbridge, with Tait making eight appearances and Ketlo making five. Tait leads Canada West with a .932 save percentage.
Puck drops Friday night at 7:00 p.m. MST and Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. MST at Nicholas Sheran Arena. Both games will be streamed live on www.canadawest.tv.
